We believe in delivering measurable value through our SEO audits, AI-powered recommendations, media buying optimization, and growth strategies. Our refund policy reflects our confidence in our services and our commitment to your satisfaction.

We understand that digital marketing results can take time to manifest. However, we also recognize that sometimes our services may not be the right fit for your business needs. That's why we offer a transparent, fair refund process designed to protect both you and our team.

2. Money-Back Guarantee Terms

2.1 Guarantee Period

Courtane Agency offers a 30-day money-back guarantee on all paid subscription plans (Pro Plan at $299/month and Business Plan at $799/month). This guarantee applies from the date of your initial subscription purchase, not from the date of your first service delivery.

The guarantee period allows you to fully evaluate our platform, receive your initial SEO audit, explore our AI suggestions engine, and understand how our media buying and growth strategy services can benefit your business.

2.2 What's Covered

Our money-back guarantee covers:

  • Full subscription fees: Complete refund of your first month's subscription payment
  • All service tiers: Applies to both Pro and Business plans equally
  • Multi-website subscriptions: If you've added multiple websites, the guarantee covers your entire subscription
  • Platform access: All features, including SEO audits, AI recommendations, reporting tools, and Chrome extension

3. Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for a refund under our money-back guarantee, you must meet the following criteria:

3.1 Timing Requirements

  • Submit your refund request within 30 calendar days of your initial subscription purchase date
  • The 30-day period begins at the moment your payment is processed, not when you first log in
  • Refund requests submitted after the 30-day window will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis but are not guaranteed

3.2 Usage Requirements

  • You must have actively used the service, including completing at least one SEO audit for a website in your account
  • You should have reviewed your AI-generated recommendations and attempted to understand how the platform works
  • You must have provided accurate website information during the audit process
  • You should have attempted to connect at least one data source (Google Analytics, Search Console, etc.) if applicable

3.3 Good Faith Requirement

  • Your account must be in good standing with no violations of our Terms of Use
  • You must not have engaged in fraudulent activity or attempted to abuse our refund policy
  • You should provide constructive feedback explaining why our services didn't meet your expectations
  • You must not have shared your account credentials with unauthorized third parties

3.4 Documentation Required

When requesting a refund, please provide:

  • Your account email address associated with the subscription
  • Your subscription plan details (Pro or Business)
  • The date of your initial subscription purchase
  • A brief explanation of why you're requesting a refund (this helps us improve our services)
  • Any relevant screenshots or details about issues you encountered

4. Refund Request Process

We've streamlined our refund process to make it as simple and transparent as possible:

Step 1: Contact Our Support Team

Reach out to us via email at contact@courtaneagency.com with the subject line "Refund Request - [Your Account Email]". You can also call us directly at 1 (505) 483-0953 during our business hours (Monday-Friday, 9 AM - 6 PM Mountain Time).

Step 2: Provide Required Information

Include the following in your request:

  • Account email address
  • Subscription plan type
  • Date of purchase
  • Reason for refund (this is optional but helpful)
  • Any specific issues or concerns

Step 3: Review Process

Our customer success team will review your request within 3-5 business days. During this time, we may reach out with clarifying questions or to see if we can resolve any issues that led to your refund request. We're committed to finding solutions that work for both parties whenever possible.

Step 4: Refund Processing

If your refund is approved, we'll process it immediately. The refund will be issued to your original payment method. Processing times vary by payment provider:

  • Credit/Debit Cards: 5-10 business days
  • PayPal: 3-5 business days
  • Bank Transfer: 7-14 business days

You'll receive an email confirmation once the refund has been processed. Your account access will continue until the end of your current billing period.

5. Service-Specific Refund Considerations

5.1 SEO Audit Services

Our Complete SEO Audit generates comprehensive reports analyzing 200+ ranking factors. If you've received and downloaded your audit report, you may still be eligible for a refund if you're unsatisfied with the depth, accuracy, or usefulness of the recommendations provided.

5.2 AI Suggestions Engine

Our AI-powered recommendation system provides actionable insights tailored to your website. If the AI suggestions don't align with your business goals or seem inaccurate, we encourage you to contact our support team first. We can often refine the recommendations based on your feedback.

5.3 Media Buying Services

For Media Buying optimization services, please note that advertising spend on platforms like Google Ads, Facebook, and LinkedIn is managed separately and cannot be refunded. However, our management fees for Media Buying services are subject to the same 30-day guarantee.

5.4 Growth Strategy Consulting

Growth Strategy services often involve custom consultation. If you've engaged in one-on-one strategy sessions with our team, refunds will be prorated based on services already delivered. Initial strategy sessions may be partially refundable if you cancel within 48 hours of the scheduled session.

6. Cancellation Without Refund

6.1 Standard Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard or by contacting our support team. Cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing period. You'll continue to have access to all features, reports, and data until that date.

Important: Standard cancellations (outside the 30-day guarantee window) do not entitle you to a refund for the remaining portion of your billing period. For example, if you cancel 15 days into a monthly subscription, you'll retain access for the remaining 15 days, but no refund will be issued.

6.2 Annual Subscriptions

For annual subscriptions, if you cancel after the 30-day guarantee period, you'll retain access until the end of your annual billing cycle. Annual subscriptions are generally non-refundable after the guarantee period, except in exceptional circumstances approved by our management team.

7. Non-Refundable Items and Services

The following items and services are not eligible for refunds:

7.1 Free Tier Services

  • Free Starter plan subscriptions ($0/month)
  • Free SEO audits provided as promotional offers
  • Trial periods that don't require payment

7.2 Extended Service Periods

  • Services used or accessed beyond the 30-day guarantee period
  • Subscriptions that have been active for more than 30 days, regardless of usage
  • Previously refunded accounts that have been reactivated

7.3 Additional Services

  • Custom Development: One-time fees for custom integrations or white-label solutions
  • API Access: Setup fees for Business plan API access
  • Dedicated Account Manager: Services already rendered by account managers on Business plans
  • Priority Support: Support services already provided

7.4 Third-Party Costs

  • Advertising spend on Google Ads, Facebook Ads, LinkedIn Ads, or other platforms
  • Third-party tool subscriptions (if purchased through us)
  • Domain registration or hosting services
  • External consultant fees arranged through Courtane Agency

7.5 Account Violations

  • Accounts terminated for violation of our Terms of Use
  • Accounts suspended for fraudulent activity
  • Accounts used for spam, black-hat SEO, or unethical marketing practices
  • Accounts sharing credentials in violation of our policies

8. Special Circumstances

8.1 Technical Issues

If you experience significant technical difficulties that prevent you from using our services, contact our support team immediately. We'll work to resolve the issue promptly. If we cannot resolve the problem within 7 business days, you may be eligible for a full or partial refund, even outside the standard guarantee period.

8.2 Service Interruptions

If our service experiences extended downtime (more than 48 consecutive hours) during your guarantee period, we'll automatically extend your guarantee period by the duration of the outage, plus 7 additional days to compensate for the inconvenience.

8.3 Business Closures

If your business closes or you need to cancel due to circumstances beyond your control (such as natural disasters, pandemic-related closures, or regulatory changes), we'll work with you on a case-by-case basis to find a fair solution, which may include prorated refunds or account suspension.

9. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

If you're unsatisfied with our services, we strongly encourage you to contact us directly before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or credit card company. Chargebacks can negatively impact both parties and often lead to unnecessary delays.

If you initiate a chargeback:

  • Your account will be immediately suspended pending resolution
  • All active services, including audits and reports, will be paused
  • We'll provide documentation to your payment provider supporting the legitimacy of the transaction
  • If the chargeback is resolved in our favor, your account may be permanently terminated
  • Future subscriptions may require alternative payment methods

We're always willing to work with you to resolve concerns amicably. Contacting us first allows us to address issues quickly and maintain a positive relationship.

10. Refund Exceptions and Appeals

We understand that every situation is unique. If your refund request falls outside our standard policy but you believe exceptional circumstances warrant consideration, you may submit an appeal.

To appeal a refund decision:

  1. Email contact@courtaneagency.com with "Refund Appeal" in the subject line
  2. Provide detailed documentation of your circumstances
  3. Explain why an exception should be made
  4. Include any relevant supporting materials

Appeals are reviewed by our management team within 10 business days. While we cannot guarantee approval, we carefully consider each case on its individual merits.

11. Data Retention After Refund

After a refund is processed, you'll have access to your account and all generated reports until the end of your billing period. After that:

  • Your account will be downgraded to the Free plan (if you choose to keep it active)
  • All data, reports, and audit results will be retained for 90 days
  • You can download your reports and data during this 90-day period
  • After 90 days, data may be permanently deleted unless you request an extension

We recommend downloading any important reports or data before requesting a refund or immediately after cancellation to ensure you have copies for your records.

12. Re-subscription After Refund

If you've received a refund and wish to re-subscribe later, you're welcome to do so. However, please note:

  • You'll be considered a new customer and eligible for the 30-day guarantee again
  • Previous refunded accounts cannot receive a second refund within 12 months
  • We may request additional information to ensure the new subscription will be a good fit

13. Changes to This Refund Policy

Courtane Agency reserves the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or business practices. When we make changes:

  • We'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy
  • Material changes will be communicated via email to active subscribers at least 30 days in advance
  • Changes will be effective immediately upon posting for new subscribers
  • For existing subscribers, changes typically apply to renewals and new purchases

Your continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified policy. If you disagree with any changes, you may cancel your subscription before they take effect.
